Tie Up and Dine: Waterfront Restaurants Welcome Maxum Boaters

After a fun day of cruising, sunning, swimming and fishing, it's time to tie up and have a nice dinner someplace where docking your Maxum is easy and the food and libations are enjoyable. Nothing beats a dock valet handling your lines so you can relax dockside in a friendly setting with good food-- a perfect ending to a perfect day on the water.

Dockside dining in coastal cities and on inland lakes and rivers is readily available, as restaurateurs search for ways to grow their business in a slow economy. They are finding that even landlubbers enjoy dining on the water, if not for the food, for the scenery--fabulous boats and colorful sunsets. What's not to like? Some waterfront restaurants will prepare take-out for boaters with advance notice, so all you have to do is call ahead, motor in and pick up dinner or some side dishes. This is especially convenient if you have limited cooler or refrigeration space for all the fixings, but enough room for the steaks, burgers, dogs, etc. Call ahead, pick up some nice salads and desserts, fire up the boat grill and enjoy a feast on the water. Everyone knows food always tastes better when it's eaten outdoors, and especially on or near the water! Bon appetit!
